I arrived at Ocean Isle on a very windy, but beautiful Saturday afternoon for Suzanne and Adam’s big day. The day began with a gorgeous beach ceremony for which I did the music and the mic for the officiant. I had to run a whisper quiet generator for power, but it worked out great! As soon as they were married, guests made their way back up to the house for the cocktail hour and reception.

At the house, I had music playing while the bridal party finished their formal photos. Shortly after, I introduced the bridal party and then turned the mic over to the best man and maid of  honor for their toasts. They did a great job, and then it was dinner time! The caterer provided an amazing low country boil buffet which looked delicious! At the end of dinner, Adam and Suzanne cut the cake and then danced their first dance to “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne (a personal favorite of mine). Suzanne then danced with her dad to “Father & Daughter” by Paul Simon and finally Adam and his mother danced to “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor. I think it was around 8:30 when open dancing started and the end time was midnight. In my head I’m thinking “there’s no way only 50 people are going to party for 3 1/2 hours. Boy, was I wrong! These folks danced every song!

At the end of the night it turned in to a pool party as I was packing up my gear. Just as I placed the last thing in my truck I heard everyone going nuts and went over and saw Adam and Suzanne in the pool, and yes, she had her dress on! I loved it so much that I took this photo! What a great party! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. VanderWaal!
