It’s always great to return to my alumni, UNC-CH, and even better when I get to DJ a great wedding. The Carolina Club is located in the middle of campus and is literally right beside the football stadium.  Guests arrived for the Friday wedding around 7:00 for cocktails and I was scheduled to start at 8:00. As the guests entered, I got everyone set for the introduction which involved the groomsmen doing the archway made of swords entrance as John and Alexandra entered to “A Warrior’s Call” by Volbeat. That got everyone hype! The father of the bride briefly welcomed everyone, the blessing was said, and the food was on its way out.

As dinner wrapped, John and Alexandra danced to “When You Got a Good Thing” by Lady Antebellum for their first dance. Alexandra and her father danced next to “Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel and then John and his mom danced to “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Next up was the cake cutting, and before we started the open dancing, I got everyone to sing “Happy Birthday” to John’s grandmother who was turning 90!!! Awesome!

The dance floor opened up with just a couple of dancers, but by the middle of the second song, we were rocking! The only time I stopped was for the bouquet and garter toss. The dance floor stayed packed all the way until right around midnight when I closed out with “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young. What a great party and a great way to end August! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Zornick! I’m looking forward to getting some professional shots of this event from my buddy Joe Payne!
