Megan and Greg had their cocktail hour, dinner and reception in Fearrington Village at the Fearrington barn with wedding planners Megan and Gina from A Southern Soiree and photographer Michael Moss. For the cocktail hour I had a mix of standards, soft rock, country and classic soul (same for dinner too).  The wedding party arrived and it was time for the introductions.  I introduced them to “I Gotta Feelin” and switched to Chris Brown’s “Forever” for Meg and Greg.  The wedding party took their seats and it was time for the first dance.  I knew this was going to be awesome!  Meg and Greg had a special surprise for everyone.  I had made a special mix for their first dance that they pulled off perfectly! The song started with John Michael Montgomery’s “Home To You”.  After about a minute, it switched to Black Eyed Peas “Let’s Get It Started” then through Hammer, Tom Jones, Queen, Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson (Complete with white glove, hat and smoke) then back into “Home to you”.  Everyone loved it!  Meg then danced with her father to “I loved Her First” and Greg danced with his mother to “My Wish”.  After a blessing by Peter Quello guests made their way through the 3 food stations.

After dinner we had 5 toasts from the wedding party, the cake cutting to “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor and a longest married couple/anniversary dance to “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King.  I opened the floor with some classic Motown and filled the floor for a few songs, then into some current dance music to bring everyone out. It was then time for one of the best moments of the night (except for the first dance).  Greg’s fraternity brothers joined him on the floor to sing “Piano Man”.  Soon, others joined them for a big sing a long with their arms around each other.  It was so great and you could tell that they really love each other!

After more dancing it was time for Meg and Greg to have their last two dances to a cover of Alphaville’s “Forever Young” by Youth Group followed by “Don’t Stop Believin”.  The guests then made their way to the front of the barn for the sparkler exit.  What a fun night and a great group to play for!
