Vaughn Towers in Raleigh, NC Wedding Venue
Sarah Beth and John Barry had their wedding at the awesome Vaughn Towers which overlooks the football field at Carter-Finley Stadium. Talk about big time if you’re a Wolfpack fan! Anyway, the day started with the arrival of 300 guests, and about an hour later, the huge bridal party arrived for their introduction.
I lined them up and brought them into Michael Jackson’s song “Off the Wall”. Sarah Beth and John Barry then entered to MGMT’s song “Electric Feel” and everyone went bonkers! They went right into their first dance “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green.
Sarah Beth danced with her dad next to “What Do You Say To That” by George Strait. John Barry and his mother danced next to “In My Life” by The Beatles. After the buffet dinner, we moved right into the cake cutting to the song “No One’s Gonna Love You” by Band of Horses (amazing song) and then it was time to PARTY! And let me tell you, this crowd raged! Wow! What a party! I mixed about every type of genre imaginable in that 2 hours.
The only stop was to do the bouquet and garter toss, and then it was right back to dancing. The night closed with the remix of “All of Me” by John Legend and then finally “End of the Road” by Boyz II Men (been a minute since I played that one). The guest then all went downstairs for the big sparkler send-off.
What a night! Priscilla and Micaiah with Orangerie Events did an amazing job as always with planning and coordinating the day (and even running out to get more mixers and alcohol!). That’s service folks! I can’t wait to see the photos from Julie Livingston!
