I worked my butt off the past week! Let me give you the recap. On Sunday January 26th, Randy Bennett, David Fox and I worked the Carolina Inn Bridal Showcase. Not only did we have a small booth there, I also played the music for the two fashion shows and gave a talk on “Why You Should Hire a Professional DJ”. The show was great with tons of brides to be in attendance (most of which we had already booked!). Sweet!

On Monday, I had the pleasure of DJing for the employees of Prestonwood Country Club. They held their party at the amazing Umstead Hotel & Spa. This party is always a great time with great door prizes and lots of dancing!

On Tuesday, I was right back at The Umstead again. This time for Med-el, a company that makes hearing devices. I have been doing their annual party for years. I braved a snowstorm, but it was worth it. This crowd loves to party!

On Thursday, I was at one my favorite spots, The Pavilions at The Angus Barn, for a corporate awards function for Genworth Financial. They have been great clients for a few years now. They did their awards as I played the “bumper” music as folks went up to get their awards and then after dinner, they partied!

On Friday, I had the privilege of being the DJ for the opening of the Merrimon-Wynne House, a brand new venue that opened in downtown Raleigh. This house was built in 1876 and has just undergone an incredible renovation. The party rocked, and I can’t wait to do hundreds of weddings at this historic site!

Finally, on Saturday, I did a fundraiser for Ravenscroft High School at The Renaissance Hotel at North Hills. These type of events are usually OK, but this one was over the top. The decor was amazing and they raised tons of money for the school. I went on late, around 11, but the folks stuck around and got down! I hope to do this one again next year! Good time.

On Sunday, I watched a miserable Super Bowl (other than my man Bruno Mars), and tried to recover. What a week indeed!
