Finith and Holly’s ceremony and reception both took place at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, NC. The day was hot, but gorgeous as guests arrived for the outdoor ceremony at Bryan Courtyard. I was the provider of the mics and the music for this part of the day. The ceremony was perfect with Erin McLean as their planner and Barbara Lodge as their officiant. The topper was the recessional as they walked down the aisle, I played “Carolina In My Mind” by James Taylor. What a perfect song for this place! Holly and Finith looked so happy!

The guests then made their way down to the Old Well Room where cocktails and apps were waiting outside the ballroom. I also had a speaker there playing some great classics by Sinatra and other Rat Pack era singers. The guests entered the room and then I had the bridal party line up for their intros. Each couple had a custom song that Holly had chosen, and that got everyone pumped for the bride and groom’s big entrance to “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker! In fact, I had everyone stand up and dance along with them to the entire song! After that, they did their first dance to “You’re the Inspiration” by Chicago. Their aunts welcomed everyone and gave a blessing as the food came flying out of the kitchen and onto the tables. The Inn knows good service!

As dinner ended, we had a couple of toasts from the best man and matron of honor before they cut their lovely cake (which I tasted, raspberry, excellent!). Next, Holly and her dad danced to “What a Wonderful World” and Finith and his mom danced to “Stand by Me”. Then it was time to open the dance floor. Holly and Finith had picked some songs, but mostly let me do my thing. The guest count was probably less than 100, but it didn’t deter these folks from partying and guess who was right in the middle almost the whole time? Holly and Finith! I love that! A great reception from start to finish. I can’t wait to see the photos from Martha Manning.
