Danielle Schimpf and Ryan DuBiel tied the knot and had their reception at a historic, beautiful private club in downtown Charleston, SC.

The couple arrived at the venue where they had a private dinner alone before joining their families and guests at the reception. The couple danced their first dance to “Shameless” by Garth Brooks. The bride and father dance followed, where Danielle and her father danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. The groom and his mother danced their dance to “A Song for My Son” by Mikki Viereck. We then opened the dance floor that stayed packed until the final song. I played everything from Michael Jackson to Juvenile to Mumford & Son to Bon Jovi to DJ Unk. The heavy rains that flooded many areas of downtown Charleston on their day couldn’t even stop this party! It was a great reception with a fun bride, groom, and crowd…all my favorite types and why I love my job!

It was an interesting story about how I came to be their DJ, albeit a stressful one for the bride and the bride’s mother. They had a DJ booked well in advance but when they followed up in April, the DJ said he had another engagement he could not move after committing to do their wedding. I couldn’t believe a DJ would commit to a wedding and then cancel! That’s not how we do business at Bunn DJ Company, and that is why we have been in business for 12 years! It all worked out for the best and we all had a great time. A particular thank you to the bride’s mother, Lisa, for finding us!

It was a very busy time for the newlyweds leading up to the wedding. Ryan had just finished his JD/MBA (like someone else you know haha) in South Carolina in May and took a job in Houston, and Danielle just finished her physician’s assistant program the week before the wedding. But that did not stop the couple from planning an unforgettable wedding, with a little help from their parents of course!

Clay Austin and his crew from Clay Austin Photography took some amazing pictures from the day. I cannot wait to see them! Once the pictures are ready I will add them to this blog.  Be sure to check back and see Clay’s amazing work! You can also check out more pics from the wedding by searching #rydanwedding on Instagram.

The couple will be honeymooning in the Dominican Republic before heading to Houston as husband and wife. We wish them all the best and a lifetime of happiness!

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide through all our Charleston Wedding DJs again and again.
