Charmaine Clyde and Steve Lew were joined by about 50 of their closest friends and family at Piedmont in Durham for their wedding reception. Following the beautiful ceremony at Duke Gardens, the Boston couple treated their guests to a phenomenal four-course dinner complete with wine pairings from Piedmont…not to mention his and hers wedding cakes. Amanda Scott of A Swanky Affair provided exceptional planning services and was great to work with. Having a great planner just makes everything so much easier on everyone! F8 Photo Studios and Cara Galati took some killer photos of ceremony and reception; I can’t wait to see them!

The couple danced their first dance as husband and wife to Sara Bareilles’  “I Chose You.” The bride and her father, after some heartfelt toasts, danced to “Now Touch the Air Softly” by Peter Mayer. Steve and his mother then danced to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World” by Israel “Iz” Kamakawiwo’ole. After cutting the beautiful cakes, guests joined the bride and groom on the dance floor. The crowd loved the oldies as well as new dance music. I was playing oldies like the Jackson 5 and James Brown, but as the night went on the crowd wanted the upbeat dance music.  They loved the Calvin Harris, Rihanna and David Guetta and stayed on the dance floor until it was time to go at midnight.

It was an elegant and beautiful wedding that we were so to be part of, and we wish the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness
