The Wedding Ceremony

Anthony and Jodi picked a gorgeous end of summer day for there wedding ceremony and reception at The Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh. The weather was perfect as the ceremony began around 6:30pm on a Friday evening. The music was provided by musicians, while I handled the mic for the groom and officiant. It was a lovely ceremony. As it ended, the guests went inside the original house for cocktails as I broke down the ceremony gear and got ready for the party in the Carriage House.

The Reception

Once the guests made their way into the room, I made my way outside in order to line up the room. They chose “I Won’t Let You Walk Away” by Mako, a great EDM song. That got everyone hyped and the cheers were super load when Anthony and Jodi hit the dance floor for their first dance to “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne. Afterwards they welcomed everyone and dinner from Beau Catering got started. It was great as always!

As dinner wrapped, there were a couple of toasts, the cake cutting and then the parent dances. Jodi and her dad danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw and Anthony and his mom danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. They were sweet dances, but it was time to par-tay after that! The dance floor stayed rocking until we took a quick break for the bouquet toss (“Country Girl Shake It For Me” by Luke Bryan) and the garter toss (“Sexy and I Know It” by LMFAO). Then it was back to dancing, through a killer playlist that they picked and then all the way up to the ending “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey! I have to mention that the ladies from Viva L’Event once again did a phenomenal job planning, and I’m sure the photos from photographer Cara Galati with F8 Photo Studio. Wow, what a night! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Calamito!
