Sean and Lauren had their wedding ceremony and reception both at The Merrimon-Wynne House on a Friday evening. The weather last Friday was incredible and couldn’t have been more perfect for the outdoor ceremony. We provided the microphone for the officiant (Lauren’s brother-in-law) who was a first-timer, but did great. We also had a mic on the stand for the reader and did the music tracks as well. The ceremony went great and afterwards, folks made their way inside MW for cocktails while I broke down the ceremony rig and went over everything for the reception.

The Wedding Introductions & Dancing

I lined up the bridal party once everyone had made their way inside the brand new carriage house and got them ready for introductions to “This Is How We Do It”. Sean and Lauren finally made their way in and the place exploded. They then took the floor for their first dance as husband wife to a custom mix they gave me of a Bon Jovi/Ben Rector song. They did a great job with their choreographed dance! Towards the end, we invited others in to join them at their request. Once their first dance was done, Lauren and her dad danced to “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” by Darius Rucker and then Sean and Lauren’s mother shared a dance to “My Wish”. As dinner (another fantastic job by Donovan’s Dish) wrapped, a couple of toasts were given and then dancing opened and it was ON! During one point, we sent guests outside for the cake cutting and they didn’t want to come back in (remember how I said the weather was literally perfect), but I told Lauren’s mom “Don’t worry, I got this”. I got them back in for the bouquet and garter toss, cranked the jams after that, and the crowd rocked until the sparkler and rickshaw departure! What a great reception! Shout out to Ashley Salter for keeping things moving right along the whole event.
