Sidney and Christopher were able to dodge the storms and have a gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony at Rose Hill this past Saturday. I was at Camp Sea Gull with my youngest son on Friday and all the way up to the ceremony time on Sunday. Luckily, I have amazing people that work for me, and one of my DJs, Brandon Alley, handled all of my setup, lighting, and ran the ceremony (with an amazing singer) flawlessly! As the ceremony ended, I finished up a few last minute lighting things, changed into my suit and got ready to rock it!

The Wedding Cocktail Hour and Intro’s

The guests enjoyed cocktails on the back porch while we played a mix of everything from oldies to acoustic newer artists like John Mayer. As cocktails wrapped, we moved the guests inside to their seats for the grand introduction. Let me just say that the room looked amazing due to our amber uplighting, their monogram projected on the dance floor, and most important, the work of Lyn Graves and his team over at Fresh Affairs. I played Bruno Mars’ “Marry Me” while everyone came in. As Sidney and Christopher walked through the double doors, the crowd exploded! They went right into their first dance “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele. Sidney and her father danced next to “Butterfly Kisses” and then Chris and his mom danced to “What a Wonderful World”. Next, the father of the bride welcomed everyone, the food was blessed, and it was time for the huge buffet dinner. I actually got a chance to eat, and the BBQ was killer!

The Cake Cutting and dancing

As dinner concluded, we knocked out the toasts and the cake cutting (“Pour Some Sugar on Me”) and then it was time to dance. It took about 3 seconds for the dance floor to fill! And it stayed rocking the entire night. We did a mock exit around 10ish, but most everyone came right back in for my dancing! What a great night! I can’t wait to see the photos from Jamie Blow.
