I had the pleasure of DJing for two of my friends wedding last Sunday in Atlanta, GA at Canoe. This restaurant/venue is so cool! It’s right beside a river and the views are killer. Not to mention, after a brief period of rain, it turned gorgeous for the ceremony. I was in charge of the mic and the music for the ceremony as well as the reception. I couldn’t have pulled it off without the help of a local ATL DJ named Mike Walsh of Amp’d Entertainment. When I arrived, he had me all set up. It was perfect!

The ceremony went great and they did their recessional to “Now That We Found Love” by Heavy D from the movie “Hitched”. It was classic! After pictures, the guests made their way into the tent. Brad and Jen were introduced in and went right into their first dance, “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. The fathers of the bride blessed the challah and then it was time for the buffet to open. The food was amazing! As the guests finished up with their late lunch/early dinner, we did the cake cutting, a few toasts, and then the parent dances. Jen and her dad danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw and Brad and his mom danced to “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder. Next, I opened up the dance floor with the Hora and it was madness. Jen and Brad both went up in the chairs, as did a few other special guests. From that song until the end of the evening, the dance floor was rocking. Like Brad said, “It went by too fast!” I ran out at 6pm, went straight to the airport, and straight to Vegas to speak at MBLV. And that was just the start of the week….Wow! Great event! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ivers. I can’t wait to see the photos from Hopkins Studios.
