Wow, talk about a long and hard-rocking weekend! On Saturday I DJd two Flywheel rides, one hot yoga class (in the actual room, HOT), and then this amazing wedding! Eric and Carie had their ceremony just outside of the North Carolina Museum of Art in the courtyard. The music was by Florian Trio. The weather was actually just about perfect I would say! As the ceremony ended, the guests came inside for cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres and were entertained by the classic sounds of Sidecar Social Club. If you have not seen them, they are awesome and perfect for this time of night. Cocktails!

In the middle of their set, around 7pm, I quickly introduced Eric and Carie into the room to the sounds of MJ’s “The Way You Make Me Feel”. They opted not to go right into their first dance, but instead got to actually enjoy their cocktail party…great idea! Around 8:00, they had a quick cake cutting while “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank played softly in the background. They then made their way over to the dance floor for their first dance, “Groovy Kind of Love” by Phil Collins. What a great choice! Might have been my first time playing that one! After that, no other formalities, it was time to PARTY! These folks were ready to get down. I mixed a little bit of everything Saturday night, from oldies to Top 40 and even a few slow ones to let people catch their breath. Around 10:00, it was time to wrap it up. We sent Carie and Eric off with a big glow stick departure and everyone headed to the after party (from what I heard). Wow, what a reception! Looking forward to seeing the images from Kate Pope. Congrats to the new Mr. Chinese to Thai and Mrs. Elmore!
