The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond Wedding Venue

Brittany and Bruce’s reception a couple of weeks ago at The Country Club of Virginia definitely had a few bumps in the road. Not only did Brittany’s sister get sick at the church and not make it to the reception, but both the bride and groom were also ill the entire reception! Brutal! I’m sure this wasn’t the memory that they wanted, but the show must go on, and it did.

The night started with introductions to “We Ready” by Bubba Sparxx and “Baba O’Riley” by The Who. Bruce and Brittany then went right into their first dance by Stoney Larue called “Feet Don’t Touch the Ground”. After that, Brittany and her dad danced to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland, and Bruce and his mom danced to “The Cowboy in Me” by Tim McGraw. Everyone enjoyed the food stations and then we went into the toasts. Brittany’s brother actually had to read his sister’s speech, but it was still very special.

As the toasts ended, it was time to party! Bruce and Brittany did the best they could with their friends and lasted until almost the end. Just before their departure, we did the bouquet toss (“Milkshake” by Kelis) and garter toss (“Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins) and that was it! I just hope their honeymoon was perfect!

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Richmond Weddings again and again.
