Ciara and Trevor had both their wedding ceremony and reception at the lovely Matthews House in Cary, NC on April 3rd. This was actually unusually early for me with a 10am ceremony start time, but it really couldn’t have worked out better. By the time the guests were seated, the temperature had risen to a nice, comfortable degree and the sun was shining hard! The officiant Robin Renteria gave an excellent ceremony and I couldn’t have mixed the sound any better Ha!

The Wedding Cocktail Hour

After the ceremony, I had Motown cocktail tunes playing in the courtyard as guests enjoyed scones and OJ and coffee (it wasn’t noon yet, so no alcohol!). As the guests, entered and were seated, I went inside the house and lined up the bridal party. They entered to “Uptown Funk” and Ciara and Trevor got a huge ovation as they made their way in and went into their first dance “The Way I Am” by Ingrid Michaelson. Ciara and her father dance next to “There You’ll Be” by Faith Hill and Trevor and his mother danced to “You’ll Be In My Heart” by Phil Collins. Next, Trevor and Ciara welcomed everyone and the buffet opened! It was awesome! Tons of delicious brunch items like biscuits, eggs, bacon and fruit.

The Dancing

Once the brunch ended, it was time for a couple of toasts, the cake cutting (to “Sweet Pea” by Amos Lee) and then dancing! It’s not easy to get folks going in the middle of a Sunday afternoon, but I did it. The line dances were a hit, and so were a few ballads. At the very end, everyone was up rocking to “Shout”! What a great way to end the weekend. Congrats to the new Mr. And Mrs. Garrison!
