Shannon & Brendan’s Stockroom Wedding

Shannon and Brendan’s Christmas wedding took place at the historical and super cool venue The Stockroom at 230 in downtown Raleigh, NC. The day began with their ceremony in the same room and that provided the audio for.  Shannon and Brendan chose classical pieces for their music and “A Thousand Years” by the Piano Guys for the candle lighting ceremony. It was a perfect, short but sweet ceremony, and then the guests moved to the upper level of the room so that the staff and I could “flip the room”.

The Wedding Reception

As cocktail hour wound down, we invited guests back into the now transformed ballroom for introductions of the parents and full wedding party. Everyone entered to “Semi-charmed Life” by Third Eye Blind. As Shannon and Brendan hit the dance floor, they went right into their first dance “You Make It Real” by James Morrison. Words can’t say how much I LOVE this song! Next up, Shannon and her father danced to, wait for it, “Sweet Child O Mine” by Guns N Roses! YESS!!!! They are my new heroes for picking that one! Immediately after, Brendan and his mother danced to “Hungry Eyes” by Eric Carmen (another classic choice!). They gave a brief welcome and thank you and the buffet by Cafe Luna opened! The food was great! After that, it was dance party time, with only a short stop for the cake cutting to “Ho Hey” by Lumineers and then the bouquet toss to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper. From that moment forward, it was just an epic dance party all the way to the end when everyone went down to street level to send them off with sparklers. What a great almost Christmas wedding! Shout outs to Emily with Whiskey and White Events for keeping everything running so smoothly and Candi Leonard for the great images you’ll soon see popping up all over our Instagram!
