Jodi and Carson’s reception took place at the gorgeous Fearrington Village in Pittsboro. The day began with a picturesque ceremony out behind the inn. We provided the audio for the officiant (also the father of the groom, who led a beautiful ceremony) and for two amazing musicians playing traditional and new Christian songs. These two brothers were awesome with both doing harmonies and one on guitar and one on banjo.

As the ceremony ended, folks headed over to the barn patio for cocktails which sort of got rained out. No worries, I was ready for them when they came in early! Once the bride and groom were set, we did introductions to “Party Rock Anthem” for the bridal party and then started Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” right when she goes, “The party don’t start ’til I walk in”, for Jodi and Carson’s big entrance. Everyone went nuts! They went right into their first dance “Green Eyes” by Coldplay (love it) and then the father of the bride and father of the groom gave a welcome and blessing. The buffet opened next and the food was amazing as always!

After dinner, Jodi danced with her dad to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw and Carson and his mom danced to James Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is”. Then it was time to open the floor for some dancing. These folks were ready and rocked for a while until we knocked out the toasts and cake cutting and then it was more dancing until the end of the night when they left to cheers and sparklers. What a great reception! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Matthews!
