Ben and Meredith had picture perfect weather for their Memorial Day weekend reception. Once again, I was back at one of my faves, Fearrington!  The guests were treated to a lovely outdoor ceremony before making their way over to the patio outside the barn for sweet tea and lemonade. I had music playing for them from some of the couple’s favorite bands like Needtobreathe, John Mayer, Ben Rector and others. It was a great soundtrack to start the day.

For the introductions, the bridal party entered to “My Dear” by Bethel. I had never played that one before, but it worked! As the couple entered, everyone stood and cheered them on as they went right into their first dance performed by local musician Aaron Gallagher. He did a song called “The Only One” that brought the house down! After their dance, the father of the bride gave a welcome, the blessing was said and then the buffet stations opened up. The food looked amazing as always!

After dinner, the toasts took place as well as the parent dances. Meredith and her dad danced to “My Girl” by The Temptations and Ben and his mother were treated to another performance from Aaron Gallagher. After that, it was open dance floor time! I got them out there and held them for a couple of hours straight with only a brief pause for the cake cutting and then later the bouquet toss (“Wannabe” by The Spice Girls) and garter toss (“Let’s Get it On” by Marvin Gaye). The night ended with sparklers and another happy couple is in the books! Congrats you two! Looking forward to photos from Graham Terhune.
