wedding dj art space downtown raleigh nc

Bracey and Sebastian’s wedding took place in downtown Raleigh at a really cool artist workshop and gallery called, wait for it, Artspace. We did the mics and music for the ceremony upstairs, then sent guests down to the entrance area for cocktails and music while we flipped the ceremony room to a reception room!

They picked some really cool choices of music. For the ceremony, it was stuff like “Wildfire” by Ben Rector, “Hearts Don’t Break Around Here” by Ed Sheeran and even “Sing a Song” by Earth Wind and Fire! Great stuff.

After cocktails, the parents of the bride welcomed everyone and then guests made their way back into the flipped room and introductions took place to “Let’s Groove Tonight” by Earth Wind and Fire. Once Seb and Bracey hit the floor, they went right into their first dance, another amazing song and artist, “The Book of Love” by Gavin James. Seb and his mother then danced to “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor. Bracey and her dad had a surprise. I played about one minute of “Make You Feel My Love” by Billy Joel and then cut quickly to “Play that Funky Music” and asked everyone to join them. Shockingly half the room got up and did it. Great start to the evening!

After everyone got their fill at the food stations, it was time to cut the cake and party. The floor was filled for two hours straight! Oh what a night! Shout out to their planner Mary Martha with GBS Events. She did a killer job!  I can’t wait to see the pictures Taylor Dillon Photography shot!
