Alicia and Tom were married at noon at the amazing Duke Chapel, then guests took a quick break and made their way to Bay 7 for the wedding reception. I had music playing for them during cocktail hour and since the couple got their photos taken during the break, they were able to be introduced and join the cocktail hour! I introduced the bridal party with “The Final Countdown” by Europe and then Alicia and Tom came out to “Eye of the Tiger”. It was awesome!

After about an hour, everyone came downstairs for the blessing by Alicia’s uncle and the amazing dinner buffet. As soon as the guests were done, we moved forward with toasts from the best man and maid of honor, and then the cake cutting (“How Sweet it Is” by Marvin Gaye). Once the cake was cut, they took their place on the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. They chose Ben Folds’ “The Luckiest” which I love. An amazing first dance ending with a dip at the end! As soon as they dipped, it was time to open up the dance floor. Alicia and Tom had picked tons of great songs and the floor stayed full all evening. We took a quick pause for the bouquet toss (“Wannabe” by Spice Girls) and garter toss (“Another One Bites the Dust” by Queen), and then right back to the partying! The event ended with everyone singing their hearts out to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”! We then lined up everyone outside Bay 7 on the bridge for a big bubble blowing departure and the newlyweds made their escape on a petty cab. Awesome party! Congrats to Mr. and Dr. McConnell! I can’t wait to see the photos from Megan Kime!
