Renaissance Hotel Raleigh nc wedding dj Bunn dj company

Katherine and Matt were going to get married no matter what! And I applaud them for that. 10 of the 12 shows that Bunn DJ Company was supposed to do this past weekend, cancelled or postponed due to Hurricane Florence, but not these two! Their ceremony took place in a church and then guests arrived at North Hills’ Renaissance Hotel around 5:3opm for cocktails. By then, it was barely raining in Raleigh, so the photographer, F8 Photo Studios, even got to get some outdoor photos!

I played “Hand Clap” by Fitz and The Tantrums as the bridal party entered. As soon as Katherine and Matt hit the dance floor, they went into their first dance to one of my all time favorite songs, “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. I love that song, always will! Next, the blessing was said and salads were served. The rest of the dinner was a buffet that went by really quickly and got us into the next part of the reception.

As dinner ended, there were a few toasts from the best man, maid of honor and Katherine’s brother. Next the cake was cut and then they did a combined parent dance, Katherine with her dad and Matt with is mom to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra. As soon as that dance ended, I got the lights turned down and fired up the dance set. These folks must have had cabin fever or something because they came to party. The dance floor stayed full for over 2.5 hours straight. What a party! I’m so glad they didn’t postpone this one. Shout out to Sally Oakley Events for doing another fabulous job with keeping it all running smoothly despite the weather.
