I will always remember the wedding that I did a few weeks ago at The Barn of Chapel Hill event venue.  (You can check out the venue by clicking here) If you are a Tar Heel, then you would certainly know the groom. He played football a couple of years ago, Ryan Switzer. He was, and still is awesome, and his wife is equally as amazing.

The day started with guests arriving for a beautiful outdoor ceremony complete with a live acoustic guitarist. After the ceremony, guests made their way to the back of the property on the porch for cocktail hour where I had music playing. After the guests made their way indoors, I got everyone lined up upstairs for the grand entrance. The bridal party came in to “Bring ’em Out” by TI and when Ryan and Gabie came in to “Commas” by Future the place went nuts! They went right into their first dance to the ever popular song “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Gabie’s father welcomed everyone and then dinner was served by Culinary Visions.

As dinner wrapped up, the toasts were giving. Chicago Bears QB Mitch Trubisky was the best man and gave a great one, as did maid of honor Meredith Shaw. The parent dances were up next. Ryan and his mom went first and then Gabie and her father second to a song I had never played before. Michael Reid’s “As You Dance” is a great one! Check that out.

Finally the dance floor opened and it was slammed from song one. We played just about every genre that night. Ryan was calling out requests looking at his phone! He and Gabie were on the dance floor all night. That’s my kind of couple! Loved it! We closed out the night with “Jump Around” by House of Pain, “God’s Plan” by Drake and then “Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett. Epic night! I can’t wait to see the photos from Kaitlyn Blake and video from Humming Meadow. Shout out to Sarah and her crew from Verge Events for great planning on this one!
